Another Malaysia Airlines Boeing 777 Aircraft , Flight MH 17 from Amsterdam to Kuala Lampur with 295 People on Board, Lost over Ukraine Airspace

 
The Airline said in a tweet that the Boeing 777 Aircraft , Flight MH17 from Amsterdam to Kuala Lampur with 295 people on board, had its "last known position was over Ukraine Airspace." Flight radar shows that the Aircraft 's last known position was on the Eastern border of Ukraine near Russia.

In a statement, Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko said the Aircraft  "disappeared from radar screens" and added that it may have been shot down.

"In recent days, this is the third tragic accident after the Russian territory were downed aircraft AN-26 and SU-25 Armed Forces of Ukraine. We do not exclude that this aircraft was also shot down, and stress that the Armed Forces of Ukraine did not commit any action to defeat the purposes of the air," he added. 





 State Department spokeswoman Jen Psaki said in a tweet, "On reports of tragic Malaysian Aircraft  crash: at this time US do not have any conformation of cause, individuals on Aircraft  or any addl details"

This is the second Malaysia Air Aircraft  incident this year.


 

Malaysia Air Flight MH370 vanished on March 8 with 239 people on board after it took off from Kuala Lampur bound for Beijing.

Malaysian officials said the Aircraft  disappeared somewhere in the Southern Indian Ocean, but no wreckage has ever been recovered.

A Malaysia Airlines passenger Aircraft  with 295 people on board has crashed in Ukraine near the Russian border, Interfax cited an aviation industry source as saying.

It said the Boeing Aircraft  was flying from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur.

Malaysia Airlines tweeted that it had lost contact with MH17 and its last known position was over Ukraine.

The Interfax report said the Aircraft  came down 50km short of entering Russian Airspace.

It "began to drop, afterwards it was found burning on the ground on Ukrainian territory," the unnamed source said.

The Aircraft  appeared to have come down in a region of military action where Ukrainian government forces are battling pro-Russian separatists.

A separate unnamed source in the Ukrainian security apparatus, quoted by Interfax, said the Aircraft  disappeared from radar at a height of 10,000 metres after which it came down near the town of Shakhtyorsk.

There are unconfirmed reports from the Ukrainian interior ministry that the airliner was shot down by a Buk ground-to-air missile.

There is no independent confirmation of the claims.

A Malaysian Airlines Boeing 777 with 295 people has crashed in Ukraine today

The aircraft went down near the Russian border according to sources.

At this point It is not clear what caused the flight MH17 to crash or if there are any survivors.

The aircraft was flying from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur.














 

One news agency claimed that the Malaysian Airlines passenger plane was shot down by Russian authorities but that has yet to be confirmed.
